My house is shaped like a dragon, so I made a dragon mailbox.
The mailman loves it—it’s large enough to hold all our junk mail and packages of books. The box opens when you lift the “wing.” The dragon is made of all sorts of junk, including a tongue of bent forks, and its chest and neck are of an old drain shovel; the tail is welded to a coal scuttle and covered with old bicycle gears. The whole was powder coat painted gold. It measures about 36 inches high (90 cm).
