FAIRY HEAD TRELLIS
(2000 SOLD) steel, powder coat painted silver.
8 ft tall (about 2.3 meters)
Not, strictly speaking, an angel. Inspired by
the Alfonse Mucha show at the NC Museum of Art. Since Mucha's first serious
work in Arte Nouveau style was a bicycle poster, I used old bicycle gears
in this arte nouveau style trellis.
Morning Glory and Moon Flower Trellis.
(1995 SOLD) steel scrap 8 ft tall (2.3 m)
Designed for both a morning glory and a moonfower vine to grow up
and frame the face. Morning glories, of course, would be open in the
morning and the moon flowers would open up in late afternoon through
the night.
